An Extra Pair of Hands Joint Venture
Pridex Kitchens & Wardrobes are pleased to announce a joint venture with An Extra Pair of Hands to bring more benefit to our customers.
Rather than offer our clients a coffee machine, or a set of pots and pans that may not be of any use to them, the team at Pridex decided that what we would really appreciate was having an "extra pair of hands" at home. As working parents we felt that our clients also deserved to have a real gift for choosing Pridex to supply their kitchen or wardrobe.
And by Pridex joining forces with An Extra Pair of Hands it means that you get to choose how you would like to 'spend' the 10 hours of in-home services we give you to say thanks.

Palmerston North Home Show
Pridex Kitchens & Wardrobes were admirably represented at this year's Home Show with an eye-catching kitchen that perfectly illustrated the fact that "you don't have to spend a fortune to get a gorgeous kitchen". Made from the latest in cabinetry products - Melteca Hi-Gloss in Mist Grey and Warm White - you could easily have mistaken it for a lacquer (painted) kitchen - but without the price tag.
The laminate bench top with waterfall ends (in Laminex GlossPlus 'Iron Ore') was a stunner. Many visitors to the show thought it was a stainless steel top, its reflective nature was so strong. And the large undermounted sink was commented on by many who longed for a decent sized sink.
The tiled splash back complemented the cabinetry and bench top colours beautifully and was a lovely finishing touch. The design brief for the kitchen was to keep it simple using strong lines, cohesive colour combinations and good design to full effect. The resulting kitchen is an extremely functional yet subtly beautiful and glamorous kitchen that anyone would love to call their own.

WANGANUI HOME SHOW
Pridex Kitchens were well represented at the Wanganui Home Show held at end November 2010.
It being the first Home Show held in Wanganui for a number of years, Pridex was surprised to be the only kitchen company represented.
The reception from visitors to the Home Show was overwhelming. Feedback on the display kitchen (see pictures) was very positive and many commented on the excellent use of differing colours. The Kymira solid surface bench top was certainly a winner, with almost everyone stopping to touch it and ask what it was. Exclusive to Pridex Kitchens in the North Island, this NZ-made product, which is fully repairable, come s in over 600 colours and is custom-made, had everyone buzzing (including the Pridex team!). Coupled with a moveable island on castors sporting an Antique Brown granite bench top from Southern Rocks, the kitchen and the new soft close hinges and drawer runner range from Hafele, the display kitchen showcased just some of the many options and ideas Pridex has to offer its clients

The Palmerston North factory employs about 30 people.

South Island Manufacturing
We have completed our negotiations with Christchurch based kitchen manufacturer, Roger Syme, the owner of Modulink.
From 1st December 2008 Modulink will manufacture all kitchens for delivery in South Island under the Pridex Kitchens South Island brand (PKSI).
This means that Pridex Kitchens can supply kitchens across New Zealand under the Pridex brand. This is a very important first step in our franchise expansion plans.
PKSI has three existing franchises currently trading under the “Kitchens Direct” brand in South Island. These showrooms in Christchurch, Dunedin and Wanaka will change names shortly to Pridex Kitchens and become part of the New Zealand wide Pridex Kitchens franchise.
The “Kitchens Direct” brand will in future be used to brand a web based sales channel for kitchens sold over the internet and manufactured either in Palmerston North or in Christchurch.
The place of manufacture will depend on which island the kitchen is destined for.

First independent franchise sold
PRIDEX Industries is pleased to announce the sale of the Palmerston North franchise and to introduce Rosie Davey-Hicks as our new franchisee. Rosie will take over the management of the recently remodeled showroom on Saturday 1 November 2008 along with our showroom and installation teams.
By way of introduction, Rosie is the proud owner of a 2008 Pridex Kitchen. As a client, she was delighted with the excellent service and quality product she received from Pridex Kitchens. This enjoyable experience prompted her to purchase the Palmerston North franchise, when it recently became available. From a client’s perspective, Rosie has firsthand knowledge of the joy in owning a Pridex kitchen. She also knows how exciting (and sometimes worrying!) the process can be. Taking this into account, Rosie and her team will ensure that your purchase of a Pridex kitchen is as enjoyable and stress free as possible.
These changes herald an exciting time for the Pridex Kitchens franchise network as described in the New Zealand Herald on Saturday 25th October 2008.
