Q) I have designed my own kitchen - will you still make it ?

A) Absolutely! As a company we strive to make your dreams into reality. Using our experience and product knowledge we will go over your plans to ensure that what has been drawn is feasible and to see if it is utilizing the latest products and accessories available. We welcome you bringing in your own plans and working with you to supply a kitchen you can be proud of.

Q) How long does it usually take to make a new kitchen ?

A) A kitchen usually takes 2-4 weeks but can take longer at busy times prior to Christmas for example. If you require an urgent order or you are on a deadline then let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Q) Your advert on the Pridex 10 points of difference caught my attention. Can you expand on your POD under reliable delivery?

A) Pridex has an acronym it works to, DIFOTIS = delivered in full on time in spec. Our stringent system and structure complement our state of the art manufacturing. Add to this the fact that we inspect all out-sourced bench tops, vinyl doors and spray painting with our expectation and demands that our suppliers adhere to our internal DIFOTIS standards, we are able to proudly say that Pridex delivery date promises are met giving you peace of mind whether building or refurbishing.

Q) I read recently of the establishment of Pridex Kitchens franchised operations across New Zealand. What does that mean to me when buying a new kitchen?

Q) What will a new kitchen cost?

A) This is the most frequently asked question. The answer depends on a number of things such as the size of the room, the materials chosen (granite or Formica tops, for example), the accessories you choose, the type of cabinetry, the appliances you choose as well as the cost of other subtrades such as floorers, tilers electricians and plumbing services. In general, our experience is that your new kitchen will cost between 5 and 10% of the value of your home.

Q) Who will install our new Pridex Kitchen?

A) When you buy a Pridex Kitchen we will install it for you at a cost of around 10% of the kitchen cabinetry price. Fitting a kitchen to walls that are not straight and floors that are not level is an art and the desired outcome is guaranteed when our trained installers do the job. Our installers are trained to meet the NZ Standards so your investment not only looks great but will work correctly giving you many years of enjoyment. Q) How long will the installation of my new kitchen take?

A) Most cabinetry installations will be completed within 2 days, subject to the complexity of the job. Not having a working kitchen is a huge inconvenience to any household and will do our best to minimise any disruption to your families lifestyle. Any final touch ups, we try to complete within a few days, subject to the availability of your installation team.

Q) How does Pridex help me visualize my kitchen?

A) At Pridex we realise that new kitchens are dreams waiting to become reality. Our extensive showrooms across New Zealand have a variety of display kitchens allowing a hands-on experience. We have a range of photos of kitchens we have designed, each showing additional ideas and concepts.During your first consultation our experienced consultants know the questions to ask that will assist them in designing a kitchen with you. This is then visually displayed for you in a 3D colour drawing. We also have consultation rooms in each branch which house a variety of board colours, vinyl colours and styles, bench-top, “Formica” flooring, cornice and splash-back samples to help you see your design style that you have selected. Q) I understand granite benchtops may make the installation process lengthier?

A) The fitting of granite benchtops is a very specialized process which is handled direct by our suppliers. Because it is custom fitted to your kitchens the final measurements can only be done once the cabinets are installed and a work surface installed for your convenience. Generally it can take up to three weeks for the granite top to be fitted after completion of the cabinetry installation.

Q) Can I take my plans away from your showroom?

A) Yes of course you can. However, we will charge you a small fee for the work we have incurred in designing your kitchen. This is totally refundable when you place your order with us.
