As you know, buying a kitchen isn’t like shopping for a new dress, TV or home appliance. You can’t walk into a showroom and pick out a kitchen to install that afternoon. There are many choices to be made—colour, design, products and materials, while at the same time keeping within your budget. At Pridex Kitchens we know the best ways to make your kitchen a hassle free reality. Before we even put pen to paper we need to get a feel, for what you, our customer, wants to achieve in your new kitchen. This is often best arranged, if renovating, for us to visit you in your home. Or alternatively, if building,  for you to visit our showroom, working from your new house plans.

With your help, the consultant will work out your requirements for your new Pridex kitchen. We will design a practical and functional kitchen for your home. Having established a kitchen layout, we’ll then prepare you a written quotation. The quote can include a variety of pricing options for using different materials and products. Kitchens can accommodate a single oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, and sink bowl. They can have pantry storage and a variety of drawers. With your feedback we can design a kitchen that not only looks great, but fits your budget as well.

During your second or third consultation we’ll talk about the quote and make any necessary adjustments or alterations. On confirmation and receipt of your deposit, we’ll prepare working plans ready for your approval. At this stage all the colours, handles and appliance details are finalised. When you’re satisfied and have approved the plans, we can start building your new Pridex kitchen.

Having made all these choices, you’ll be excited and looking forward to preparing that first meal in your new kitchen. However, we ask for your patience. We now need to check measurements on site, and break down your kitchen into the hundreds of components that make it up. All the materials that are not held in stock need to be ordered and your kitchen, once scheduled into production, still needs to be built. This process can take anywhere from three to eight weeks, depending on materials, finishes and production schedules. Like our commitment to focus solely on kitchen manufacturing, we’ve also made a commitment to invest in state of the art, modern, efficient woodworking machinery.

Most of our key machinery is computerised, allowing for extreme accuracy and flexibility with sizing and manufacturing. Your new Pridex kitchen will be carefully manufactured and assembled in our factory prior to being fitted in your home. Our tradespeople take care in their work and pride in bringing you a top quality product. When your new Pridex Kitchen is complete, the installation begins.

We’ll confirm your installation date a week or so prior to your kitchen being complete. This allows time to confirm with other sub trades involved, like your electrician, plumber and flooring expert, to ensure that everything goes according to plan on the day. Installations can take up to three days depending on various factors such as size, access and products. Usually by the end of the second day the services are reconnected and you can start to use your new Pridex kitchen.
